Virginity Rising
Another side effect of simping is the rise of virginity. Just take a look at this graph:
The numbers are startling, but it makes sense when we put the the loneliness epidemic into perspective. But women seem to be less affected:
Again, if you have read about the the loneliness epidemic, you’ll understand men are disproportionally affected, so again, it makes sense.
The latest graphs we can find on Instagram show 2018 was the most popular year for the platform (at the time). It seems the platform continues to grow and both graphs here do not show any decline in virginity.
And if we look at how people have met their significant others over time, we see online has been skyrocketing. Simply put: a higher percentage of people meet online every day, but at the same time the number of virgins is increasing. It’s all troubling news.
The thirst traps have young men online commenting on facetuned photos on Instagram, instead of going out and meeting women. Women have become addicted to the dopamine hit of seeing all of those likes, but know their photos aren’t real and have become more timid in result, since they don’t want to expose themselves, leading to their rates of celibacy to slowly rise as well. And you throw OnlyFans in the mix and all of a sudden men think they have a real girlfriend now. We need to stop simping.
